Overview

Spartanburg School District One is composed of 10 schools and one career center with approximately 5100 students. The district began the transition to 1:1 5 years ago by making major infrastructure and pedagogical transitions prior to deployment. Spartanburg is now 1:1 with student issued chromebooks for grades 3-12 in a take home model. The district began rolling out devices to kindergarten, first and second grades in the winter of 2017 replacing ipads with android compatible chromebooks.
